Request #18-407
  Closed

Hi Bridgette,

The Kansas City Star had requested records from the Wyandotte County Sheriff's Office regarding records reflecting security detail appointed to Kris Kobach during the ACLU trial at the KCK federal courthouse. We were denied those records on the basis that they don't exist, but we see that there were indeed records responsive to our request because they were provided to the Huffington Post and its reporter, Sam Levine.

Can we receive an explanation for why we were not provided these records, and meanwhile, can we have the records that were supplied to Huffington Post as soon as possible?
